KERRY Katona has revealed her terrifying cancer scare left her convinced she’d only have months to live.
When 40-year-old the mum-of-five found a lump in her armpit shortly after Sarah Harding was diagnosed with breast cancer and desperately thought: “Who’s going to look after the kids?”

Thankfully Kerry was quickly diagnosed by doctors who told her the breast pain was caused by a lymph node damaged during one of her four boob jobs.
But the cancer scare shook Kerry to the core after she found a lump in her armpit and noticed her “right breast had swollen about five times bigger than my left”.
“Something’s not right,” she recalled on Steph’s Packed Lunch today.
At first Kerry thought that her boob job to take her boobs to a size 36EE in 2019 had gone wrong.

Kerry’s cancer scare came just after Sarah Harding was diagnosed with breast cancer
But then she Googled her symptoms and came out of the bathroom in floods of tears.
“I’ve gone through addiction, I’ve gone through bankruptcy, I’ve gone through mental health, and I can control all those, that’s in my power,” she said.
“And then I thought that’s it, I’m going to go to the doctors and they’re gonna tell me, ‘That’s it, you’ve got three to six months left.’”
Kerry’s first thought was for her children 19-year-old Molly and Lilly, 18, from her marriage to Brian McFadden; 13-year-old Heidi and Max, 12, from her marriage to Mark Croft; and six-year-old Dylan-Jorge with her late ex George Kay.

“Oh my goodness, I’ve not got a will,” she thought.
“Who’s going to look after the kids? They’ve got that many dads!”
Despite Kerry’s fears she delayed going to the doctor for six weeks because she “didn’t want to be a burden to the NHS”.
Kerry spoke to her kids and her eldest daughter Molly told her: “Mum, you’re going to be fine, don’t worry about it.”

Her kids gave her the courage she needed and Kerry went to hospital for a mammogram and MRI scan.
“I was crying and shaking that much that the nurse had to hold my hand,” she said.
“It was the the most horrific, scariest moment of my life.”
Luckily Kerry was told that her lymph node had been damaged in surgery.

“When they said, ‘It’s not cancer, you’re fine,’ I was so glad, and then I felt so silly,” she said.
“I just sat there, crying. I realised the importance of one’s life. We’re not invincible.”
She is living with the pain and an enlarged right boob for now as to get it fixed she’ll need to undergo yet more surgery and lose a third of her breast.
“I’ve just left it for now cos I’ve had so many surgeries and I’ve done so much to my body,” she said.
“I’d rather just walk round with it for now. But it’s the scariest thing I’ve ever been through.”
Although Kerry is now feeling reflective about her plastic surgery, two years ago she was delighted she was “no longer tripping over her nipples” after her fourth boob job.
She praised her surgeon for transforming her breasts and giving her an “amazing uplift”.
