POP sensation Taylor Swift officially announced on February 11 that she finished re-recording her second studio album Fearless.
The star released a statement on social media with a hidden message in it, sending fans on overdrive as they tried to uncover the meaning behind it.
What is the hidden message in Taylor Swift’s statement?
She also announced that the new re-recorded version of her album Fearless will contain six never before released “songs from the vault.”
Swift told Good Morning America: “I’ve now gone back and recorded those so that everyone will be able to hear not only the songs that made the album but the songs that almost made it. The full picture.”
Following the news on TV, Swift took to social media to release a statement about the re-recording, writing: “this process has been more fulfilling and emoTional than i could’ve imagined and has made me even more determined to re-record all of my music. i Hope you’ll like this first outing as much as i liked traveling back in time to recreate it.
Swift released this statement on social media with certain letters capitalized, spelling “April Ninth”
Adding: “love story (taylor’s version) will be out tonight.”
The singer is known for giving fans easter eggs in her music videos and posts about potential album clues.
In the forewords of her old albums, Swift would capitalize letters in sentences, which fans began noticing were coded messages for her music.
Fans immediately noticed that Swift capitalized random letters in her statement, spelling out “April Ninth.”
Twitter erupted with guesses as many believe that Fearless will be fully released on April 9.
One user said: “I VIVIDLY remember sitting at my grandmas house as a little girl, reading the fearless lyric book, and feeling like Nancy dang Drew when I started to realize there was a secret code @taylorswift13 you brought that pure adrenaline back to me this morning THANK YOU.”
Another added: “YOU DID NOT JUST WRITE THAT WHOLE THING AND ADD A SECRET MESSAGE GOD YOURE TAKING ME BACK.”
A user chimed in: “APRIL NINTH WHAT?????” with one replying: “Probably the release of the whole album??”
Why is Taylor Swift re-recording her albums?
Swift decided to re-record her music after the masters of her old albums were bought by Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s manager Scooter Braun, who she called an “incessant, manipulative bully.”
Braun will continue to profit from the original recordings of her music as the owner of her masters.
However, if she re-records all her versions, he will not earn money from them.

Her dispute with Braun started in 2019 when her former label Big Machine sold her masters to him without telling her.
Last October Braun took it upon himself to sell Swift’s masters, videos and artworks to an equity firm called Shamrock Holdings for $300million in a deal which meant he would still profit off them.
She was offered the chance to partner with the firm but refused because of Braun’s involvement.
The news of her new record comes just two months after the release of her ninth studio album Evermore.
In the statement she released on February 11, she briefly spoke about the ownership saga, writing: “I’ve spoken a lot about why I’m remaking my first six albums, but the way I’ve chosen to do this will hopefully help illuminate where I’m coming from.
