Who is Eve Hewson?

Eve Hewson is the daughter of legendary Irish singer Bono.

She was educated at the Dalkey School Project, St Andrew’s College in Dublin, and New York University and received her degree from New York University in May 2013.

The actress lives in Brooklyn and starred in BBC One series The Luminaries.

She had her TV breakout in The Knick and has also notched up a variety of film credits, including Steven Spielberg drama Bridge Of Spies.

How old is Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson?

Eve Hewson was born in Dublin on July 7, 1991.

Her mother is Alison Hewson, an Irish activist and businesswoman, who has been married to U2 singer Bono since 1982.

She has two younger brothers, Elijah and John, as well as an older sister, Jordan.

While having a famous father is an advantage, she said she’d love to be seen as an accomplished actress in her own right.

Eve Hewson has revealed she was such a “little troublemaker” that her U2 star dad Bono couldn’t hire good-looking support bands.

The Irish actress, one of four kids the frontman has with activist wife Ali Hewson, also admitted she didn’t follow her famous dad into music because she was “terrible at practising”.

She told Town & Country magazine: “When I started acting, I realised I could spend all day long going over lines, reading scripts, doing different exercises, and it didn’t feel like work at all. Practising music did.

What TV shows has Eve Hewson appeared in?

Hewson made her acting debut in the 2008 feature film, The 27 Club and had her big break playing Maid Marian in Robin Hood alongside Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx.

Last year, she starred in the BBC drama The Lumineers, but she is now stepping up as one of the leads in Netflix’s six part drama.

Eve thoroughly enjoyed playing the character of Adele in Behind Her Eyes and would love top play the role until she is “dead.”

She told Collider: “I genuinely loved this character so much, mainly because of the twist. I’ve never had more fun playing a character in my life. If I could play Adele until the day that I’m dead, I wouldn’t care.

“It was just so much fun because there was an element of heightened drama that was theatrical.”
